The art of noticing.
A photographic journal by Pratham Sukhadia.
Faraway places. Small details. A reason to slow down.

Nothing urgent here
Two ducks settle into the warm texture of straw.Behind them, the lake keeps moving without asking anything.A slow moment does not need a grand destination.
Room to breathe
One tree holds the foreground; the mountains keep their distance.I leave the sky open so the eye has somewhere to rest.Sometimes a wider view is all the reset we need.
The bend is the beginning
The road disappears exactly where curiosity begins.Warm hillside textures lead into a cooler, quieter distance.A good frame, like a good journey, leaves something around the bend.
Layers of almost
Each ridge gives way to another, softer than the last.Clouds keep the brightest peaks just out of reach.Distance becomes a feeling when the details begin to disappear.
A path above the noise
A thin path draws the eye up the spine of the rock. The small building at its end gives the landscape a human scale. Some places ask for less talking and a little more walking.
Between a bell and the sky
Bells and red ribbons make a frame within the frame.Beyond their shadows, the courtyard opens into sunlight.Even a still photograph can leave a little room for sound.
A different kind of screen time
A dark ridge gives the scattered stars something to rise above. Most of this frame belongs to the space between the lights.Looking up is still my favourite way to log out.
The world, in wide angle
Green slopes hold the valley while snow draws a distant edge.Clouds open the blue sky into a second landscape. The further the eye travels, the smaller the rush feels.
Scale, without colour
Dark rooftops anchor a mountain range that refuses to fit quietly.Without colour, snow and cloud speak through contrast. We build our little shelters beneath things we cannot outgrow.
Let the sky finish it
The hillside enters low, leaving the sky to carry the frame.A small cloud softens the sharpness of the snow. There is no need to fill every space to make it mean something.
Small beneath the mountains
The temple gives the eye a place to arrive.Behind it, snow and cloud stretch far beyond the crowd.A human gathering can feel intimate inside an enormous world.
A valley keeps its rhythm
Terraces repeat across the slope like a rhythm made by hand. The valley pulls their lines toward a quieter distance.Ordinary life finds a way to grow inside extraordinary places.
Where the valley opens
Rock walls press inward, then release the eye into blue.A strip of green keeps the foreground close and alive. The view opens when I stop trying to see the whole journey at once.
The city at a distance
The skyline becomes a thin sentence across the horizon.Water and cloud take up the space the city usually claims.Stepping back changes what gets to be important.
Blue between buildings
A long sweep of blue separates the shoreline from the skyline.Clouds loosen the geometry of towers and rooftops.Even a busy city has a softer side when I give it enough sky.
Pause at the edge
The shoreline leads past resting figures toward the distant city.Waves interrupt the repeated shapes of the concrete below.Life carries on, even in the moments we call a pause.
The everyday, composed
Road markings draw a grid beneath a passing slice of city life.Palms break the straight lines of the pale façade. The everyday becomes a composition when I stop walking past it.
A small, bright interruption
An orange petal catches the light before anything else does.Water and leaves fall softly behind its folded edges.A small detail can hold an entire afternoon.
Colour at the waterline
Warm flowers push forward against the cooler water. The distant fountain stays soft, a quiet counterpoint.Attention is choosing one small part of the world to stay with.
Light that stays
Gold gathers against the blue, then returns in the water. The reflection lets the architecture linger beyond its walls. Some places make stillness feel full rather than empty.
Small things, vast places
A delicate seed head holds focus against an immense valley. The mountains soften so the smallest thing can lead.Wonder does not always belong to whatever is biggest.
A little belonging
A small flag brings a familiar colour into the mountain air.The valley stretches far beyond the edge of the fabric.Travel can take me somewhere new and still remind me where I belong.
The shape of silence
Light separates the cliff faces from their wooded shadows.Foreground trees give the distant ridges another layer. With colour set aside, the landscape shows how it is built.
A sky, twice seen
The sky spills into a small pool in the uneven ground.Dark trees hold the light at the edge of both reflections.Sometimes looking down is another way of looking up.
An invitation, left open
Two open gates turn the hillside into an invitation. The path gives the empty ground a clear direction. The next chapter rarely comes with more than a way in.
Follow the line
A pale path cuts through warm earth beneath a sweep of cloud. Its curve makes the hill feel like something still unfolding.I do not need the whole map to take the next step.
A quieter outline
The statue becomes an outline against the light behind it.Clouds give the surrounding sky a gentle sense of movement.Sometimes the strongest presence is the one that asks for silence.
